Orange County Review of Books is based in Orange County, California.

We publish reviews of new books, across all genres, and we want you to write for us. Seriously, allow us to be your first (or your fiftieth) publication. We respond quickly.

Interested?

  • Check out our archive. We love reviews that are honest, informative, and entertaining.
  • We tend to cover titles published within the last 12 months.
  • Most places won’t publish negative reviews. We will. We equally welcome positive, negative, and mixed reviews.
  • Skip the pitch: just send us your finished piece (500 to 1000-ish words) as a DOC file.
